Thompsonville Action Group--for and by the people. This new group is forming. It's purpose is to activate citizens to utilize the resources available ,and speak up for what is needed in Thompsonville. By displaying a standard tag in your window you show others that you are a community supporter

This is not a Town function or political platform for anyone.

This is us ---standing up for ourselves one voice at a time...together...

UPDATE as of June 17 2008 myself, Kelly Hemmeler, and Kathy Tallerita formed a new group called the Voices For Thompsonville, with my voice many of the Tag values were instilled along with other member input to form a solid base for this group. We began meeting at the Amvets Hall on High street until it closed in September of last year.

Voices For Thompsonville was well recieved by the Town and offered the final piece in true Revitalization efforts. This many things are beginning to happen, a train station in the not too distant future will help infuse life in the area and hopefully bring new business and other opportunities to Thompsonville. Many other ideas are in the thinking stages as well as developemental stages such as the riverfront recreation project.

Voices For Thompsonville meets once a month at the Polish Deli banquet hall on the first floor every 3rd Thursday of the month, donations are needed to pay for the space. Speakers are invited to share their interests in Thompsonville with villagers.

The board expanded in January of 2009, bi-laws adopted so that the incorporation process could begin.

I have had the pleasure of acting as Events & promotions director making a few momentous events a reality.

Halloweenfest was one of our first and big events of the area. This year will be our second, to be held again at the Thompsonville Creamery on High Street, also we have created a Miss Thompsonville position that will serve to help in the youth area. We won best marching for the parade and recieved a trophy.
